The Dual View

Sometimes getting a lil incentive for yourself might just perk up some of your days. In my case, i have been struggling to decide if i should get a replacement for my failing laptop. After about a month, i finally decided it's not just quite the time yet...so today at COMEX, i went to get myself a different incentive instead...an LED 23" monitor...perhaps the joy wont be as much as getting a replacement for my lappy...but the sharp display its doing for my WOW and movies from now on...is well worth my drool for now. i'm dualing it up...so i can chat/surf on 1 monitor...while i wow or watch movie on the other one...nice! =D

it hath come!

Ok, its 230 in the morning and i should really get to bed...there's still work to be done, despite the new iphone is already busy restoring itself from the old image...i have yet to shower and tons of ideas that i would want to get them done now...but life sucks when its still a weekday. I guess I'm just gonna hold it down for now and talk about this some other time...

It is coming...

It could have been just another quiet nite, after coming home from my french class, feeling much more tired than usual...and spending some quiet time chatting with bbfren over msn...just right past midnite, a voucher came in...

10 minutes later, another email came in...which got my heart rate up by some...

Damnnn im so gonna glue myself on my seat tomorrow by 1:50pm!

The next in line

After the news break on the next gen of iPhone today, i have silently let go a breath of relief which i have kept held since 2 months ago. My old 3G was giving me alot of unwanted mutes as of late, I couldn't wait any longer to chuck it aside and quickly embrace the new 4G which will be hitting stores here by early July (or so, it was reported). I know my contract is coming to an end pretty soon...but i wasn't so sure when it would be; a quick check from the webby just now confirmed and somewhat made my sluggish after-francois-nite a lil better. Here's hoping i dont have to bruise myself elbowing my way thru the Q come July.

It's only coffee

Not so recent ago, my new office bought a Le Cube machine. This tiny machine stirred quite a few conversations in the office after that.
It's a Nespresso coffee machine.

Ever since then, those sitting on the upper levels have been making use of this machine almost every morning and noon. For those of us who aren't really there yet, were hoping we could get a sip of the heavenly taste too. The small lil cubes that you slot into the machine, will make about 1/3 cup of coffee. Different color codes will have different blend and intensity. Last week, after much pestering from my fellow colleagues i finally went over to ION to get a discovery box. This box of 36 cubes cost about 140$ and contains all the colors/blends available for sale. Today, after lunch...we finally break our regime of going for coffee/tea. Like kids with new toy, we came back and spent a good while picking our favourite color. Now after half an hour, i can still smell the aroma from my cup...I guess the box of 36 will not last us very long.

My 2nd digital

Sometimes i wonder if i'm that easily convinced, i was out on a hunt for my new camera. I have always wanted to get another Sony. My old one served me 6 long years and i have made a silent agreement to get another of its kind. Then came mr smurf...telling me to get Fujifilm F200. A big piece of device, not pretty but he said it was a great cam with nice underwater casing as well as highly rated night shots.

After all that was said, read, and done. I got myself...out of the blue...a Pentax P70. I have no idea what this camera can do nor even read anything about it prior to visiting the shop. Perhaps it was the salesman's trick or its probably just me, after a few convincing demos, i walked out of the shop...with something which i had no intention of getting in the first place...and 500$ short from my bank account. I'm really hoping i wouldn't regret it.

A whole new world

Just when i thought i had probably tapped all the excitement on my new iphone3g when i stumbled upon the iTunes Store in the US. Previously, my iTunes Store was just dull. Loaded with just a bunch of Web Apps. I've tried almost all the useful+free ones. I began to wonder why is there a Video and Tv Shows library list in my iTunes. And I dont seem to have a way to fill them. There must be something else beyond these mundane Apps. I brought up Google...and a whole new world looms in.

I was directed to the iTunes Store US (prev, mine was somehow set to my locality). Here I can download podcasts, not just a few audio ones which i have subscribed to previously, but videos! and some even in HD! oohhhh ohhhh...and they are on PodCast too!!! I can even download TV Series and stuff, though they mainly would cost a small fee. But well, there are still alot more stuff to look at...guess I'm gonna be busy for a while. Call me ignorant or whatever, this 'discovery' got me all excited with my apple again... though to some, this may already be something apparent...

My latest baby

Meet iSIS. Hathor II's next in kin. My SE K800i replacement. After spending 21 months with my now retired phone, I am replacing it with my first smart phone - the all hypes: Apple iPhone3G. Weighing at $348, the price is not entirely that bad. With a $100 voucher to offset (courtesy from a kind colleague of mine). The price came down to just $238...and if it's not already worthwhile...the $238, i can charge that to my Flexi$ fund from work. Thus, making this new toy of mine ENTIRELY FREEEEEEEE.

Trainers

I've been looking for a pair of running shoes for a while. Probably about 3 weeks or so. Going around malls and sports shops, trying on shoes; shrugging and leaving. I was starting to feel a lil frustrated with myself for being such a pick.

With the GSS just started last week, I was pretty determined...if i were to get any shoes...i might as well get it during this period. And i did went to a couple of more shops today...generally looking at my preferred brand...but still nothing.

Till i hit this 'cheapy looking store', a quote courtesy from M; thats where i found my trainers. Priced at $79.90. What more can one ask for...though it's not what i would usually buy...but according to M and a fellow 'runner' friend of mine; they make really good running shoes. So i guess it's no harm trying...and it feels rather comfy too.

Ohhh...i guess i should also mentioned that we hit the steamboat buffet at Suntec right after getting those trainers. I really have to put those shoes into good use real soon. Tonight...i just have to play one more night of...'hugging the tummy to sleep' >.<

It's finally here!!!

After about 7 months of waiting, painful emails going forward and back between me and the dive center...my lil certification finally made its way onto my doorstep today. This is one thing that i'm gonna hold on tight to for quite a while.

I'm 'officially' an advanced ;) ...though its 7months late.

And here's a collection that would probably last me a lifetime :P or at least until I get the itch to stretch myself further...which...i doubt it would be anytime soon.
Though its not much compared to a certain friend of mine, but at least...it's what i have earn for myself and i'm just - GLAD :).

The Joy of Accessorizing

I have been trying to add stuff to my PSP since Sunday. Bought myself a screen protector, applied it on for like 15mins then ripped it out and throw it inside the trash can. Reason being...i suck at performing such delicate task. Can't tell which side's up and got some dirt stuck onto the sticker and it spoils my entire psp's display. Grrrr...I had to remove it in the end :( and there goes 12.90 into the trash can too! :"(

But lucky me...i managed to get Naruto:The Ultimate Ninja Heroes and have been happily bashing away on those new psp buttons of mine. I hope i don't jam any of those buttons so soon. Naruto will now be my company on my short trips to work and FF Tactics will be my midnight oil from now on.

Today i managed to get a casing for my UMD discs too. Though i only have 2 discs for now but i'm pretty sure my library would grow in time. I am just hoping that my wallet would be growing faster than the casing.

The New Toy

It seems that my passion for bloggin' is running thinner each time i post something.

I've been pretty occupied with my new job. Yes. To those who are still asking or having doubts about my last post, i have resigned and have started my new job working for a much bigger 'organization'. Like people say, bigger does not always means better. The amount of work and attention one must put in to survive in this situation is really too much to bear. For someone like me who have been having a pretty laid-back time in my ex company, this is even harder to adjust to.

Its been a while since my last laptop got burnt and i've been looking around for a decent replacement. With SGD1899 i finally got something which i would deem as worthy. Comes with a free 1GB RAM, 1 additional year of international warranty, an 80GB Maxtor 2.5" One Touch Backup HDD, 1 year license of Internet Security, a Logitech Optical Mouse and of course, a lifetime warranty carrying case. Just another thing to be excited for a while. My new M200-P430. I named it after the Sun god - Amon-Ra.

Ha Yi Bun? Ha Er Bin?

"Ha Yi Bun" she said, when she passed me this cute lil souvenir. I've got the same one last year from my cousin who got it from Russia. I asked again, "Where?". She said "Ha Er Bin". Hmmm...it must be in some foreign tongue. I said, "What is it call in english...?". "Ha Er Bin!". ?!?!?!?!! Where the hell is that??? She said that place is somewhere in China, somewhere up north, near the borders of Russia. "Oh...", thats the only reply I can think of.

The New Read

Despite the fact that I'm still struggling with my current book, the one which has sat there collecting dust for the past few months; except for a few occasional flips during my boring, need-to-read-a-book days (dragging and testing my patience with every turn)...I found myself a new one during lunch just now. I have a good feeling I would probably finish this first.

Its all in a day...

The grumpy, agitated me didn't last for that long. I've been alrite since yesterday. Today...it gets even better. I was out in the morning at about 10:20, had breakfast with a friend over at Cartel's. The omelette wasn't as good as what someone proclaims...and it got me and my friend feeling sick till noon. By noon we were already at Vivocity. I got another pair of Zara's denim this round. Perhaps its my luck...at this time of sales, I still managed to get hold of one my size. Since the price has been double-slashed...what more reason do i need? And...I thought that was all i need to be happy in a day...but i guess...when lady luck smiles upon you...it could happen...more than once.

We spent an hour or perhaps three, walking around...buying more stuff...snacks and chocolates, mainly. Getting all high spending cash. Then i recalled, that I have something which I wanted to get. But its somewhere in CityLink. Since we're done with Vivo...CityLink is just on the way home.

So we took a train down to cityhall...and went over to the shop. But then, it just suddenly strikes me- that the last time I found something I wanted at this shop, I didn't stop to look at the shop opposite. With my friend around, I don't feel so shy this time. So I went in...and as I was browsing the displays...I saw it laying there. All these while...all the effort...all the help signals I've been sending across to my friend to find this piece of instrument...and...it's just there...only this time...this is a cleaner one, dust free and everything is...well, perfectly right. And they so happen to have two of the same kind (not that i needed two, but its just good to know that this is not a leftover or somekind :P). Best of all when I asked to try it on...it fits perfectly, like what i have imagined. And even better, there's a discount! I swiped my card...for a mere 311SGD (before discount was like 389SGD), and 15mins later...it's on my wrist for the remaining of the day till i got home. I suppose...this is just my day. :)

Google Your Books

You can now google your books!. What would we do without the internet? I, for one, could not imagine life without it.
