Movie Baton

Yeah...i suppose when you've got nothing to write...doing this would at least keep your blog updated. Good for those who have no idea of what to write...or too lazy to think of things to write about. Someone 'chain' me to this...so I gotta do it.

Ok...without further ado...here it is:

Total Number of films I own on DVD/Video
Hmmm...this one is tough...coz whenever I go Glodok, I'll just buy, buy and buy...without really counting. I guess a rough estimates would be around 50. I have some collections of X-Men cartoons which I've recorded on my VCR when it was shown on TV ages ago. That would be around 5 video tapes. Then, my VCDs...which roughly made up to about 40 or so. So all in all, I'd probably own about a hundred or so.
Not alot. Most of the DVDs I bought...I've not seen it yet. I dont watch movies at home much...its a waste of time...I've got better things to do when I get home :P Time is short...no point wasting it on some DVDs.

The Last Film I Bought
That would be Star Wars III : Revenge of Sith. I bought the pirated copy from Low Yatt last month. They said it's a clear copy. They lied. They always lie. I always buy.

Five Films I Watch A Lot/Mean a Lot to Me
1. Tempting Hearts (1999)

2. Con Air (1997)

3. Batman Forever (1995)

4. Titanic (1997)

5. X-Men (2000)

Follow the red banner...

Last weekend, "Why me? Why me?" guy came over for a visit. I brought him to the Journey of Faith exhibition at the Asian Civilisation Museum. I've been wanting to visit this place since they started on June 18th.

There were only about 30 or so artifacts on exhibit and only about 10 were flown in from Vatican City. Small ones too.

We all know that when visiting a museum, we are not allowed to take pictures inside. The museum even have the 'no camera' signs pasted below each of those paintings, sculptures and such. But then there are still some idiotic cave creatures who took out their handphones and were snapping away happily at those things that are on exhibit. Some are even taking videos too. So much for being 'literate'.

The entrance fee was 8 bucks per person. It wasn't really worth it, but then again with that amount paid...you get to visit the rest of the museum too...which currently houses some exhibits from other asian religions like the Muslim, the Taiwanese Mah Ju etc. I was not too fascinated by those...I was not there for those in the first place. Spending one and a half hours solely on indulging myself with those Vatican arts were more than what my old weary legs could take. I retreated to have 'bread' ice cream (yeah...a piece of colourful bread wrapped around a block of ice cream) after that.

K...

I kinda like KFC. In Jakarta, I would try to have that every other week or so...in KL, every trip I go back...I'll be eating that too. In Singapore now...I've been wanting to since the first week I'm here...but fate denies me to it. I can't locate a KFC whenever I want to! :(

I've got someone accompany me to look for a store last nite...tough luck...the one in Taka was packed with people at dinner time. So we decided to call it off...and went Marche instead. Then my 2nd attempt...during lunch today...i did my homework properly this time...checkout the kfc website for its store location throughout Singapore...walked to Far East Square...cant find no KFC! Damnn...we ended up eating pie instead. Another disappointment.

Finally this evening, I recalled there was a KFC just near my place...I saw it the day before, when my friend brought me for a japanese restaurant. So i got home early, rush to that area...found my KFC. I ordered a two piece plate and a 6pcs nuggets for take-away. Sad to say, the KFC doesn't live up to my expectation. I probably would not crave for anymore KFC while I'm here.

Dylan's new gadget

This post is solely dedicated to my pretentious Singaporean friend. He has got himself a V3 as you can see...wanted to show off...don't own a blog but wanted me to help him post it on mine instead. I promised him last week...so here it is now...It's a black edition of Motorola Razr V3...he got it for only SGD398 with a 2 year plan. He's more than happy.

The return of a pirate

Look at the picture below... to those once or still staying at Anggrek-Tower 2, 32G&H...does anything looks familiar to any of you? ;) I have it here too. In my current apartment...which I'm currently, leeching at.

My new abode

This place is small but I guess staying alone is more than sufficient. There's an olympic-sized swimming pool and gym downstairs, which I've not bother to check out just yet.

The toilet really needs to be cleaned. Missing my maid.

Shifting out...and back

I'm moving to another place tomorrow...a condominium (Trellis Towers) at some location which I find it hard to pronounce at first attempt. Guess I'll be here for quite some time, since they are shifting me to another location (cheaper rental). It's not that I'm complaining or anything...this is like a value-added (surplus) thing to me already. Since I'm getting an 'SG package' like some said...accommodation and flight tickets, are usually NOT provided. In my case, I should be glad. At least for now, I don't have to live like an "indon"...unlike someone I know from here. He's getting quite a well off pay...but all these things are coming out from his own pocket. I guess in the end of the day...it's almost the same.

Oh yeah...tomorrow I get to have half day off, just for me to shift my stuff...and after that...I can head to the airport, cause at 5pm...i'm flying home :)

Mark One

It's been a week now... I started with this new job. Everything is well, just that I'm still rather bored having not much to do but getting training and reading up documents. Hopefully I'll get my assignment this week.

Last week, I went out with a friend...shopping. It's the GSS! Everything is pretty cheap. In half a day, I've already spent close to 400 dollars. And I've been controlling myself. I wonder how much damaged could have been done if I have not. It's just too tempting.

It never seem to rain much here. It did last week, about once or twice...but only lasted for less than an hour or two, the most. It's all sunny again after that. I guess having good weather is a good thing...just that I'm not so used to it just yet.

A New 'Life'

I've been quite busy ...settling down the last few days. Living life in a new city is not an easy one, especially if you dont have many friends there. Boredom is still high, I guess there's nothing much I could do about it right now. When you have to share your apartment with a couple of people, you longed for some privacy...but when you have the place all to yourself... hmmmm...you get rather lonely at times and wished you had someone to talk to at home. *sighs* ... Humans are difficult... or perhaps its just me? Maybe after some time, I'll get a new group of people to hang out with. For now I'm just too tired for all that. All in all...life is fine over here, in the lion city.

I've snapped a couple of pictures of the serviced apartment i'm staying at. This place is pretty decent. I kinda like it. Peace and quiet...only about 10-15mins ride into the city. It has shuttle buses to major spots in the city pretty often, so its quite convenient.

Tamagotchi - 2

Not so long ago, after neopets...i incidentally acquired another tamagotchi.
This is a real life big baboon. He is everything but pretty. Despite his looks and size, he's got awful behaviour too. One tamagotchi that can't be tamed. He's a wild pet. He likes to scour around for food...and whenever he sees something he likes... he'll just grab it and shove into his big mouth. He likes to run his oily fat fingers on people's new laptop. People would start cursing and swearing at him after that. I pitied him. He was my TAMAgotchi after all. I used to buy lotsa chocolate and lay them around the house so that he can get it himself whenever he's hungry. Sure, he helped himself to it alrite...but after sometime he hungers for something more...something different. He grew 'horns'. Thats when he started to take other people's assets and keep it as his own. I've wasted my time trying to tame him, thinking those chocolates and candies i laid on the table would be enough to satiate him. He's a wild pet now...out in the wild...surviving on its own. I wish him all the best. Hope he'll find his sanctuary elsewhere.

Tamagotchi

Anyone of u ever own a toy pet...a Tamagotchi?
It was quite popular back then... during my early secondary school time...i had one...a puppy...its fun back then.

Now, with all the advancements of the internet...u dont have to hold on to your toy pet keychain anymore...u can feed, play do whatever u want with your pet, online!

Get one yourself, unleash that kid in you : Neopets
If you've got too much time on hand and a fast connection...u might wanna try it out.

I registered for one a year or two ago...a white bat...Myrryor.
Have forgotten about that poor thing for so long, i logged in just now to find its status - "Dying". It wont die, it's just gonna be forever "Dying"... but still wont just die. (hmmm...what am i saying?! must be the boredom...it's gettin' to my head)
