The Closing of yet another chapter

Finally...I'm back home. Just got off the plane...and stepped foot into my good ol' abode. Felt great! Can't help but to logon to post this. Just to share the news with the rest of the good people who've been visiting this blog. I'm back home! And hopefully I'll get some peace and quiet time here for the rest of the week or so.

Anyway, now...it's time for some GOOD REST. I might not be posting for some time...zzzzzzzz

The 'Favour'

Last nite...the promised 'favour' was delivered...the migration had to be done due to another's absent. It went quite well. We're back at Anggrek by 12:30am this morning. By 8:30am...we were downstairs...waiting in the car...to be brought here...for yet another round of testing...this time, by The People. The 2nd part of the 'favour'. Apparently, doing favours for some ungrateful souls not just goes in vain...but you'll get something 'else' in return. Something...which puts yourself into trouble. I've never asked for anything in return anyway. Thought I'm just doing it for a 'friend'. So much for doing favours.

Anyway, I'm feeling alot better as compared to yesterday...I guess the longer I stay here, the better I get at 'getting over with' things. Hope this will be the last time i'm getting over with the things here. I don't want anymore of this. I'm tired.

The -1 day.

I was rather disappointed, furious, agitated and everything yesterday.
My big day...came to ruin...after so long of an anticipation and planning.
I planned to send farewell mails, return keys and complete my timesheet yesterday...but after such turn of events, I don't really feel like doing anything now. All my plans have crumbled down like the Walls of Berlin. Smashed. Demolished.

Who's to blame? I gave in to it...succumb to it...Think of it as my last charity for the firm, I'll feel better that way.

Hic...hic...hic...

----
Fare me well

My last day in the firm. Adios...goodbye...zhai jian...zhoi kin...sayonara...au revoir...ciao

---

That was what I prepared for today's post. Not complete...but somehow...that's how I thought I would wanna begin with.
Sighs...I guess life is full of surprises. What others used to say...was true.
This morning...I woke up early...joined 2 other colleagues for a jog at PL. I've never done this in my years in Anggrek. Even after last nite's gaming session. I find myself waking up at 5:50am...just to join them for an early jog. Took my shower after that..had breakfast coffee bean. I dragged my fully packed skycab to work.
Happy. Cheerful. I told my boss..."Today is a bright day...sky's blue...bird's chirping...sun's shinning..."
Not even an hour later...the sky turned grey...the birds all died...the sun's gone...an eclipse took place.
I'm not leaving today...

Intensity

A week ago...I posted something rather short.

I'm leaving this company and moving on to the next - That was the Excitement.
And it still is now...only more intense.
Today I'm not doing much...have completed what I'm suppose to do and now I'm just spending my time...cleaning up my drawers and browsing through my handover documents. For tomorrow...will be my last.

Last nite, 27 of us went for a dinner at Crystal Jade Kitchen located just below The Premiere. It's quite an event...3 farewells and 1 birthday as they said. Haven't seen such a large crowd for some time. They are good folks. I've been here for less than 2 years but guess I've known quite a number of people. After last nite's dinner...we had a party at poolside back at the apartment...to celebrate a colleague's birthday. The gathering, though rather short...it was something which I'll probably remember for quite a while. Enjoying the evening breeze and some chatter with my fellow colleagues here...I guess I'm gonna miss them all.

They said Braised Shark Fins + Green Chilli is good...I tried and it's not bad.

These crabs ain't better than Saus Padang

Century Egg Prawns...an odd combination but tastes pretty good

This is one dish I did not touch...fish and frog...yucks!

The Premiere

Today it's one of those gloomy cold days. The kinda day that you wish you could be laying in bed till noon.

Last nite, a bunch of us visited The Premiere.

The Premiere Posted by Hello

This nifty spot is located in the new extension of Plaza Indonesia - the Entertainment X'enter Centre. I've never paid more than RM20 for a movie ticket, but last nite...that ticket costs me Rp. 100,000! (About RM40+)

My 100k ticket Posted by Hello

There was a promo posted at the reservation desk. Every Standard Chartered card holder is entitled to a Buy 3 free One. Unfortunately, when one of my colleague tried to use his card there was abit of a hassle. The lady at the desk told him...his card had to be either a Gold Visa or a Classic Mastercard. He is holding a Gold Mastercard. The air began to turn kinda sour. I can see my colleague's face turning black and red...and it's beaming. ...I had to find sanctuary. I slipped away and went to take some pictures at the lounge located just outside the two mini theaters.

When I'm done and got back to the desk. Everything has been resolved. It seems like the promotion is only for LOCAL Standard Chartered cardholders. Even if my colleague has the exact card, as displayed at the desk...he wouldn't be entitled for it too...his card is not issued in Indonesia. I guess it's one of those 'localization' flaws.

Anyway, the theather is equipped with about 30+ leather recliners. Fully automated. A push or pull at the tiny lever to your left automatically adjusts your chair to the position you're comfortable with. At the side of these chairs, there's a tiny drawer which stores a soft, brown blanket...for those who would have cold feet when the show gets too exciting or too embrass to lift their bare feet up high and had to cover them up. We thought it would be cold in there, just like in any cinemas in KL. This cinema has everything...from a very clear and bright screen to the very comfy seat...but the air-conditioning wasn't that good. It's a lil too warm for me...but still at an acceptable level.

The show - Kingdom of Heaven. It's a pretty good show. I've heard some not-so-good comment about the show. But this one...I guess you have to see it for yourself.
