The usual thing. Not much excitement goin on in life. I'm beginning to feel the boredom here, now. My circle is so small. I'm almost suffocating. Not much activity goin on. Life is getting hollow again. Guess I dont last more than 6 months in any place without feeling bored or getting constant waves of excitement. Should probably make a change. Do something out of the norm or expand my social circle. Problem is, I'm getting tired of being 'social' to foreign people lately. I only hang around people I know. Not making any effort at all to join or mingle with new faces. I'm getting a closure perhaps...? One so soon...
Just scouring through my mailbox and found this slideshow from weeks ago.
Just thought I'd share it out. This is a showcase from UNICEF.
Some things are best seen than asked and be told ;) Enjoy the showcase.

The New, The Sucky and The Long-Gone
Got back to work yesterday after a long long break....the longest i've had in the last three years...felt good...and could have felt even better...if i could get it to drag a lil bit more. Reality sucks. Back to work. Need money for the month end after such a 'taxing' new year.
An ex schoolmate came over to Singapore. Seems like friends I hardly get to see back home...I only get to see them here. Why? Maybe because everyone is so busy back home and they just don't have time for all those unneccassry outing. At times, I would feel that way too. This friend of mine, I haven't seen him for ages. Almost 5-6 years...though I bumped into him and some other friends one time at some place which I dont remember. That was just a mere brief moment. Cant remember much till he reminded me last nite. Gosh, has he changed. Physically. He use to be one of the 'good looking' kids back in school. But looking at him yesterday...somehow sends a slight shiver done my now older spine. He's balding...and a very bad one too. He's now bloated to 80kg...or so he told me. Chubby face, big belly. He looks as though he's now in his mid 30s. And he's only a month older than me! How...isit possible? I almost couldn't recognize him, if he hadn't wave at me first.
Nevertheless, catching up with old school mate is something which is fun. Something which I would enjoy doing. Though at start it felt a lil awkward, for both me and him. We haven't talk for years. Somehow I'm glad it finally turns out to be quite alrite towards to end. And he's getting married to his old girlfriend coming March. Someone he met over IRC (yeah...the old chat program way before time of the IMs) when were all still young and stupid :P We would spend hours online till the wee hours of the morning...chatting away...for nothing. When you're young...anything can be addictive.
Haven't been taking much pics lately. Uploading of pics is a nitemare thru this site. Wish there would be some blissful tools/ways to upload pics in multiple, easy to tag and arrange it to my liking. Hmmmm...is there?

Longing for Indonesia
If weird things were to happen once, you might think it's just your imagination. If it happens twice, well...you can just brushed it off...and think that it's probably some coincidence. But if it kept happening every once in a while...you begin to wonder why?
My roaming line has been switching itself automatically to this network for a few times now. I'm in Singapore and as most of us would generally know...this is definitely not one of the mobile network here. Maybe business has been good for them back in Indonesia, so they decided to expand their network here? But why does my phone kept switching to this even I have explicitly selected another network? 8-|
Something must have gone wrong somewhere...there must be a reason why this is happening...i'm yet to find out. For the time being, I guess I can only assume that even my phone misses its old network. The network it has been on for the past 2 years.

It's raining Holidays
It seems like we have been having a 4-day week for the past few weeks now. A friend just reminded me yesterday. Nice. The only thing bad...is the weather. It's been raining sh*t for the past few days. Last weekend was a complete mess. Despite the fact that I managed to complete my CNY shopping in 1/2 day and spent less than a hundred dollars on 4 shirts and 2 pair of pants in U2 and G2, the rest of my weekend was a complete wreck. On Sunday, i saw rain the moment i got up...and i still see rain the moment i got to bed at 1 in the morning.
Today; its better...the rain had ceased in the morning. Then it started again in the afternoon till late evening. It's 7pm now. Sky's has been gray and gloomy the whole day. The streets below were rather empty. Lights that illuminate the sign 'Capital Tower', to the left of my building... has just been switched on some minutes ago. The roads are still wet. I can see reflections from the very few cars' headlights. It could still be raining somewhere in the horizon. Perhaps...towards the harbour.
It's been a quiet day at work. Tomorrow's a holiday again. I'm just sitting here, doing nothing right now (which...coincidentally, is what I have been doing for the whole of today too)..waiting for my 'ohmmmmmm' session to start at 8. Will be leaving in about 20mins or so. Hopefully...tomorrow will be a shiny day...My skin's hungry for some vitamin D.

So pretty yet such short lifespan
Just received my first bad news of the year earlier. My cousin forwarded me a quotation from HP, in it...its written at the amount field "RM 1843.20".
My lovely notebook was about to turn 2 in 1 month, but it gave up 2 weeks ago. I thought I could revive it with just a minor replacement of a charger or battery. Looks like I was wrong. I was rather shaken by the amount that I had to fork out, so I called HP myself..."Sir, we had to replace the whole mainboard, there wasn't any power to the unit at all". I turned grey then blue...my heart almost gave up its beating. My favourite notebook...my pretty little toy...my precious...is now...gone? I guess, that explains the outrageous amount they quoted me. :"(
I'm gonna have my cousin bring it back from the service centre...and perhaps try my luck again somewhere else, have it 'certified' its death...somehow, I'm still having some hope that it's still revivable. Gotta pay RM95 for the 'troubleshooting effort' before i could redeem it back though. So much for bringing in the professionals.

Only the year is new, the rest got old
It has been quite some time since I was busy. Year end was something which most of us would look forward to; holidays, longer breaks, celebration ...all these were reasons for us to at least lay back after a year of hard work (or not).
As for me, I've been busier than ever for the entire of last week. Well, at least in the end...I'm rather glad I did not miss out the new year entirely. I was back at home to spend the year end with family. Its been 3 years or so...since I was last home for the New Year...I'm beginning to feel that I should perhaps spend more time with my now ageing folks. Whenever I am walking the streets, or in the MRT or eating at some foodstalls...if I see someone who resembles my old mother back home; even by a little....I would miss her for a moment. I'm getting tired of the travelling job already, it's probably time for me to get something back home and spend more time with my family and close friends. Hmm...it's only few days after the New Year and I'm already getting the effects of it...cant seem to find any better reasons for having this kinda feeling.
